International Crimes

DTRC Europe collaborates with Shlomo Organization for Documentation  (S.O.D.) in Iraq in order to combat impunity of international crimes. Iraq has suffered from acts of genocide on religious minorities for a long period of time which had a detrimental impact on Iraqi society as well as other countries.

Ethnic and religious minorities have been murdered, subjugated, forced to emigrate and suffered grievous bodily and psychological harm, including sexual enslavement and abuse, inflicted in a deliberate and calculated manner in violation of the laws of their respective nations, the laws of war, laws and treaties forbidding crimes against humanity.

Jointly, DTRC Europe and Shlomo have committed

  1. to improve national capacity for investigating international crimes and prosecuting suspected perpetrators
  1. to raise awareness among the general population of the importance of investigating international crimes and prosecuting suspected perpetrators
  1. to strengthen the position of victims of genocide
  1. to collect and document evidence in relation to genocide

The board of DTRC Europe signed a collaboration with chairman, Khalis estaiffo, in order to affirm their collaboration and commitments.
